PA Provide can advise and support employers who are considering recruiting an employee with a disability, or who have an existing employee who requires additional support due to a new medical or sensory condition.

The Access to Work scheme

Are you aware of the Access to Work scheme? The UK Government ATW scheme can pay the full cost of the following:

• Any assistive technology or equipment to help a disabled employee carry out their everyday tasks. For example, screen-reading software that allows a blind staff member to use a computer without seeing the screen.
• Travel-to-work costs for a disabled staff member who cannot use public transport or drive.
• A dedicated support worker to assist the staff member with tasks that their disability or impairment does not allow them to undertake independently.
• Disability awareness training — our fully qualified trainers can create workshops and courses to help make your workplace and online presence fully accessible and welcoming for disabled staff members and customers.
• Workplace assessments — our fully qualified assessors can help you create a fully accessible environment for staff or customers with disabilities. Assessments can also be used for new or existing staff members with a disability who intend to make an ATW claim.
